About me

Short Bio

My name is Ming Yao (明遥). I am currently a PhD student in VisLab at Department of Computer Sience at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. My supervisor is Prof. Huamin Qu.

My current interests are Urban Computing, Information Visualization, and Data Mining. I believed that the application of information techniques can greatly boost the development of “Smart City”.

I was graduated from Shenzhen Experimental High School, Xili, where I spent 3 fulfilling years with friends, funny teachers and Delonix regia.

In 2012, I came to Tsinghua University for undergraduate study. I got my undergraduate degree majored in Civil Engineering and minored in Economics in July, 2016. During these 4 years, I found my interests in chorus, designing, and computer science.
